Schedule a private class
Mannion Geosystems offers private ArcGIS training for groups, both at our facility in Bar Harbor, Maine and on-site at your own office in the U.S. or its overseas territories. Group training allows us to focus on the topics that are most important to your staff. Or, on-site ArcGIS training combined with our database consulting services opens the door to even more areas of interest, and is an effective way to learn about ESRI client and server technologies together in your own environment.
To schedule a private class, or to design a custom training and consulting package, contact us to discuss availability and pricing.
Classes offered
Mannion Geosystems offers the following classes through the ESRI Authorized Training Program:
-
Introduction to ArcGIS I (two days)
This course teaches students who are new to ArcGIS--or new to GIS, in general--how to display, edit, and query geographic data using the ArcGIS Desktop software suite. For details, refer to the course description on the ESRI web site, then return here to register for a class in Bar Harbor, or schedule a private class at our facility or in your office.
-
Introduction to ArcGIS II (three days)
This course builds on Introduction to ArcGIS I with expanded coverage of data creation, management, and visualization, as well as new information on spatial analysis within the ArcGIS environment. For details, refer to the course description on the ESRI web site, then return here to register for a class in Bar Harbor, or schedule a private class at our facility or in your office.
We also offer collaborative mentoring for ArcSDE administrators and end-users. With our mentoring service, you identify the topics of interest to you and your staff, and our consultant works with you on-site to teach you the most effective ways to build, access, and maintain your ArcSDE database using your own systems and data. To design a custom mentoring plan and schedule a site visit, contact us to speak with our DBA.
Bar Harbor training facility at College of the Atlantic
We provide ArcGIS training in cooperation with our education partner, College of the Atlantic (COA). In addition to offering college-level GIS education to students from across the campus, COA staff are active in ESRI software training. GIS Laboratory Director Gordon Longsworth, along with Christopher Kroot of the Maine DEP, is currently developing a new couse for the ESRI Virtual Campus titled A Collaborative Method for Sustainable Landuse Planning using ArcGIS9 ModelBuilder, scheduled for release in September 2004.
Located in breathtaking Bar Harbor, Maine, COA's GIS lab offers ArcGIS students modern computer facilities and experienced instructors in the seclusion of costal Maine's most famous destination, Mount Desert Island. Free from the distractions of the office, the lab and surrounding campus offer the perfect environment for focused learning. After class, abundant coastline and adjacent Acadia National Park allow students to rejuvinate in preparation for the rigor of next morning's training.
